Institutional Structure

SACREEE is established as a subsidiary organisation of SADC

Governance Structure of SACREEE

The Centre is guided by an Executive Board (EB) and a Technical Committee (TC) which will meet at least once a year. The centre works on the basis of a long-term business plan and annual work plans and budget.

The institutional set-up of SACREEE reflects the principles of maximising the impact, avoiding duplication of efforts, strengthening and up-scaling of already existing local capacities. SACREEE positions itself as a regional RE&EE promotion agency rather than an implementer on micro- and grass-root levels. SACREEE develops and executes its activities through a network of National Focal Institutions (NFIs) among all SADC Member States.
