Kornelia Iipinge is the Project Coordinator for the SADC Renewable Energy Entrepreneurship Support Facility at SACREEE supported by the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA).
Before SACREEE, Ms. Iipinge worked as the Windhoek Embedded Researcher for the Future Resilience for African Cities and Lands (FRACTAL) project coordinated by the Climate System Analysis Group at the University of Cape Town. She has also previously worked as the Namibian Environmental Professional Apprentice at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP)-Namibia and at Gobabeb Namib Research Institute as a Research Assistant. Her previous experience includes research in urban governance and climate change, project management, and events management. She obtained her MSc in Integrated Water Resources Management from the University of Zimbabwe and a BSc (Hons) in Environmental Science from the University of Namibia. She has a Certificate in Renewable Energies from Copperbelt University and a Certificate in Water Sensitive Cities from IHE Delft Institute of Water Education. Her interests are in climate change adaptation, renewable energy, water management, and youth empowerment. She’s an active member of the Namibian Youth on Renewable Energy (NaYoRe) and the Water- Youth Namibia.
