Representatives of eight centers of the Global Network of Regional Sustainable Energy Centers (GN-SEC) had the opportunity to speak at the ECOWAS Sustainable Energy Forum (ESEF), which took place from 22 to 24 October 2019, at the Kempinski Hotel in Accra, Ghana.


SACREEE, EACREEE and UNIDO convened the first meeting of the Focal Points for the Energy Efficient lighting and appliances in East and Southern Africa (EELA) project on 15 October 2019 in Pretoria, South Africa. The meeting was organized within the Energy Efficiency in Emerging Economies (E4) Training Week for Sub-Saharan Africa.


The East African Centre of Excellence for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (EACREEE) and the SADC Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (SACREEE) teamed up with the International Energy Agency (IEA), the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO) and the Department of Energy of South Africa in the organization of the first Energy Efficiency in Emerging Economies (E4) Training Week for Sub-Saharan Africa.
